Regular Season Round 3: Osnabruck - Marburg 64-84

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Osnabruck (2-1) at the home court on Sunday night. Hosts were rolled over by seventh ranked BC Pharmaserv Marburg (2-1) 84-64. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Osnabruck. The game was mostly controlled by BC Pharmaserv Marburg. Osnabruck managed to win fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a great evening for guard Amanda Davidson (170-83, college: Indianapolis) who led her team to a victory scoring 23 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Forward Samantha Baranowski (190-90, college: Maine) helped adding 12 points and 8 rebounds. The best for the losing side was forward Ali Schwagmeyer (180-90, college: Quincy, agency: Gamble Sports Management) with 16 points and 8 rebounds and guard Angela Pace (178-87, college: Robert Morris) produced a double-double by scoring 10 points and 10 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. BC Pharmaserv Marburg moved-up to second place, which they share with 5 other teams including defeated Osnabruck. BC Pharmaserv Marburg is looking forward to face bottom-ranked Herner TC (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Osnabruck will play against SV Halle Lions (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
