Regular Season Round 7: Svendborg - SISU 90-84

An interesting game for Svendborg (6-0) which hosted in Svendborg 3rd placed SISU (4-2). Leader Svendborg managed to get a 6-point victory 90-84. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of SISU. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But SISU won third quarter 22-15. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The game was decided in the last minutes when Svendborg won last quarter 21-16. They made 17-of-20 charity shots (85.0 percent) during the game. It was a great evening for American power forward Donald Rutherford (199-87, college: Catawba) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 28 points and 11 rebounds. The former international guard Adama Darboe (190-86) helped adding 17 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws). At the losing side international point guard Mikael Nielsen (178-90) responded with 19 points and 9 assists and American center Zack Moritz (210-88, college: Boise St.) scored 21 points and 9 rebounds (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field). Four Svendborg and five SISU players scored in double figures. The victory was the sixth consecutive win for Svendborg. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Bakken. SISU at the other side keeps the third place with two games lost. They share the position with Horsens IC. Svendborg will play against Naestved (#5) on the road in the next round. SISU will play against Aalborg and hopes to get back on the winning track.
