There was no surprise when 13th ranked Brasov (2-5) was defeated at home by third ranked Satu Mare (7-1) 73-63 on Thursday. The game was mostly controlled by Satu Mare. Brasov was better in fourth quarter 24-21. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Satu Mare forced 23 Brasov turnovers. The game was dominated by American players. The best player for the winners was forward Khadijah Whittington (185-86, college: N.Carolina St.) who scored 12 points and 8 rebounds. Forward Utahya Drye (185-88, college: Virginia Tech) chipped in 12 points and 6 rebounds. At the other side the best for losing team was guard Brittany Mingo (175-87, college: W.Virginia St.) who recorded 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists and forward Melani Thornton (185-88, college: Butler) added 14 points and 5 rebounds respectively.
