The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Bakken as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Bakken smashed 6th ranked Aarhus BC at home 105-77. The game without a history. Bakken led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated down low during the game scoring 72 of its points in the paint compared to Aarhus BC's 46. Bakken forced 19 Aarhus BC turnovers. Worth to mention a great performance of American point guard Chad Tomko (180-89, college: NC-Wilmington) who helped to win the game recording 31 points and 4 steals. Jamaican forward Orane Chin (200-88, college: CS Fullerton) contributed with a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds for the winners. Tomko is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Bulgarian forward Hristo Petkov (202-85, college: Campbellsville) answered with 25 points and 5 rebounds and Icelandic guard Arnar Jonsson (183-83) added 10 points and 7 assists in the effort for Aarhus BC. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Bakken (6-0) have an impressive series of six victories in a row. As mentioned above they are at the top of the standings, which they share with Svendborg. Aarhus BC at the other side keeps the sixth place with four games lost. Aarhus BC will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Bakken will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked Vaerlose on the road.
