Date: October 19, 2012
The game between fifth ranked Beroe (1-1) and bottom-ranked Levski (0-2) in Stara Zagora on Friday ended with biggest points difference. Beroe outscored guests from Sofia 76-57. The game was mostly controlled by Beroe. Levski managed to win third quarter 18-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Beroe forced 20 Levski turnovers and outrebounded them 35-24 including 23 on the defensive glass. Bosnian center Biljana Savic (191-83, agency: LBM Management) notched 19 points and 9 rebounds to lead the effort and the former international forward Radostina Dimitrova (185-85) supported her with 17 points and 11 rebounds. Four Beroe players scored in double figures. Even 19 points by international forward Hristina Ivanova (183-89) did not help to save the game for Levski. point guard Viktoria Stoycheva (171-92) added 12 points for the guests. Beroe left bottom position moving up to fourth place, which they share with Montana 2003. Loser Levski still closes the standings with two games lost. They share the position with Rilski Sportist. Beroe will meet higher ranked Haskovo 2012 (#3) on the road in the next round and it may be the game of the week. Levski will play against Rilski Sportist in Samokov and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
