Regular Season Round 3: Final Genclik - Darussafaka 89-92

A very interesting game took place in Bursa. It ended with only three-point home defeat of bottom-ranked Final Genclik (0-3) to eighth ranked Darussafaka (2-1) 92-89 on Friday evening. Guest team only slightly avoided a big embarassment. Final Genclik was ahead by 1 point after three quarters before a 23-19 charge of Darussafaka, which allowed them to win the game. They shot 61.0 percent from the field. It was a great shooting night for Darussafaka especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 58.8 percentage. It was an exceptional evening for American guard Marcus Hall (185-85, college: Colorado) who led the winners and scored 28 points and 6 assists. Serbian center Aleksandar Petrovic (204-87) accounted for 22 points and 4 assists for the winning side. American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) came up with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 13 rebounds and forward Oguzhan Sungur (201-91) added 20 points respectively for Final Genclik in the defeat. Both coaches allowed to play bench players in such tough game. Darussafaka moved-up to fifth place, which they share with 4 other teams. Final Genclik at the other side still closes the standings with three games lost. Darussafaka's next round opponent will be Maliye Milli (#7) in Ankara. Final Genclik will play on the road against Baskent Genclik (#15) in Ankara and hopes to get finally their first victory.
