Bottom-ranked BC Kyiv (0-6) is still winless. This time they lost on the road their sixth consecutive match to ninth ranked Kryvbasbasket (3-3) 70-63 on Friday evening. The hosts trailed by 3 points at the halftime before their 42-32 charge in the second half, which allowed them to win the game. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Pierce Caldwell (191-88, college: Incarnate Word, agency: Alti Sport) who scored 17 points and 6 rebounds. Swingman Winsome Frazier (193-82, college: Mississippi St.) chipped in 12 points and 8 rebounds. Caldwell is a former Eurobasket Summer League player, which is considered top international summer league in the market. Four Kryvbasbasket players scored in double figures. Guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford) produced 19 points and 6 rebounds and forward Jarrod Jones (205-90, college: Ball St.) added 13 points and 12 rebounds respectively for the guests. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Kryvbasbasket moved-up to eighth place. BC Kyiv at the other side still closes the standings with six games lost. Kryvbasbasket will meet at home higher ranked Budivelnyk (#4) in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. BC Kyiv will play against Ferro-ZNTU (#3) in Zaporozhye and hopes to get finally their first victory.
