Very predictable result when second ranked Khimik (6-1) defeated on the road 9th ranked Mykolaiv (1-4) 80-64. Mykolaiv was ahead by 4 points at the halftime before a 44-24 second half run of Khimik. They outrebounded Mykolaiv 39-17 including a 26-10 advantage in defensive rebounds. American-Bulgarian point guard Willie Deane (188-80, college: Purdue, agency: Higher Vision Sports) orchestrated the victory by scoring 10 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists. Canadian guard Devoe Joseph (193-90, college: Oregon, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 11 points and 7 assists for the winners. Five Khimik players scored in double figures.
