Very expected game when 14th ranked Science City Jena (1-4) lost to tenth ranked Finke Baskets (3-2) in Paderborn 92-98 on Saturday. However just six-point win is not that big difference and the fans of host team counted on more convincing victory. Science City Jena was trailing by 7 points at halftime but managed to get 1-point lead after three quarters before a 35-28 charge of Finke Baskets, which allowed them to win the game. Naturalized Israeli guard Guy Aud (188-89) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 27 points and 12 assists.
