Regular Season Round 5: Walter Tigers - LTi 46ers 88-80

Walter Tigers has registered their first victory this season after three consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat LTi 46ers (1-4) 88-80 on Saturday. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But LTi 46ers won third quarter 26-20. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Walter Tigers looked well-organized offensively handing out 25 assists. Americans were the main players on the court. The best player for the winners was guard Vaughn Duggins (190-87, college: Wright St.) who scored 28 points. Center Kenny Frease (213-89, college: Xavier) chipped in 18 points. Guard Jimmy Baxter (198-80, college: S.Florida, agency: Three Eye Sports) produced 27 points and guard Ryan Brooks (193-88, college: Temple, agency: Pro One Sports) added 26 points respectively for the guests. Walter Tigers (1-3) left bottom position moving up to fifteenth place. It was LTi 46ers' fourth loss in a row. They dropped to the sixteenth position with four games lost. They share it with Fraport SKY and MBC. Walter Tigers will meet bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC (#18) in the next round. LTi 46ers will play against Brose Baskets and will have a slim chance for a victory.
