Regular Season Round 5: NBC - Vechta 83-87

SC Rasta Vechta's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as they defeated much higher ranked NBC (3-2)on the road game in Nurnberg 87-83. NBC was ahead by 6 points after three quarters before a 23-13 charge of SC Rasta Vechta, which allowed them to win the game. They made 20-of-26 charity shots (76.9 percent) during the game. The best player for the winners was the former international center Dirk Madrich (211-83, agency: Court Side) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 10 rebounds. American point guard Richard Williams (178-87, college: San Diego St.) chipped in 11 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists. Five SC Rasta Vechta players scored in double figures. American guard Tyrone Brazelton (185-86, college: W.Kentucky) produced 29 points and 4 assists and the other American import power forward Ronald Thompson (208-81, college: Morehouse) added 9 points and 13 rebounds respectively for the hosts. Both coaches tested many bench players in such tough game. SC Rasta Vechta (1-3) left bottom position moving up to twelfth place. NBC at the other side keeps the fourth position with two games lost. SC Rasta Vechta's next round opponent will be higher ranked BV Chemnitz 99 (#10) at home and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. NBC will play against Crailsheim Merlins (#11).
