Undefeated leader ICIM Arad delivered the sixth consecutive victory. This time they crushed 13th ranked Sp.Studentesc (1-5) 87-59 in Bucuresti. The game was mostly controlled by ICIM Arad. Sp.Studentesc was better in fourth quarter 24-23. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Sp.Studentesc to just 7 points in third quarter. ICIM Arad dominated down low during the game scoring 62 of its points in the paint compared to Sp.Studentesc's 30. Their players were unselfish on offense dishing 23 assists. It was a good game for American forward Chrissy Givens (180-85, college: Middle Tenn.St.) who led her team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. The other American import guard Jennifer Risper (175-87, college: Vanderbilt) contributed with 11 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists for the winners. Four ICIM Arad players scored in double figures. American guard Brandie Hoskins (175-85) replied with 24 points and 6 rebounds and Serbian center Vladinka Erak (190-84) added 14 points and 5 rebounds in the effort for Sp.Studentesc. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. ICIM Arad (6-0) have an impressive six-game winning streak. Despite that victory ICIM Arad went down to second position due to points difference, which they share with Targoviste. Sp.Studentesc lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the fourteenth place with five games lost. ICIM Arad will play against CSM Targoviste (#3) at home in the next round, which may be the game of the day. Sp.Studentesc will play against Brasov (#13) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
