There was no surprise when bottom-ranked RSV Eintracht (0-4) was defeated on the road by sixth ranked Hannover Tigers (2-2) 89-76 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Hannover Tigers. RSV Eintracht was better in fourth quarter 23-22. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Hannover Tigers forced 19 RSV Eintracht turnovers. American guard Ashanti Cook (188-84, college: Georgetown) fired 25 points and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Tobias Welzel (183-90) chipped in 28 points and 4 assists. Power forward Yannick Evans (202-86) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 10 rebounds and 4 assists (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) and forward Tobias Grauel (195-86) added 16 points respectively for lost side. Hannover Tigers moved-up to fifth place in Group North, which they share with Recklinghausen and SU Medien. Loser RSV Eintracht still closes the standings with four games lost. Hannover Tigers will face Dorsten (#9) on the road in the next round. RSV Eintracht will play against Oldenburg and hopes to get finally their first victory.
