Regular Season Round 4: Speyer - Leimen 88-53

Bottom-ranked KuSG Leimen (0-4) tried to put together a comeback for its first victory of the season, but they fell short in the 88-53 loss to fourth ranked Speyer / Schifferstadt (3-1) in Dudenhofen. The game was mostly controlled by Speyer / Schifferstadt. KuSG Leimen was better in fourth quarter 21-20. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Speyer / Schifferstadt dominated down low during the game scoring 60 of its points in the paint compared to KuSG Leimen's 30. The winners were led by forward Uta Gelbke (177-86) who scored that evening 24 points (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) and Canadian swingman Emma Duinker (182-89) supported her with 21 points and 6 rebounds.
