Rather predictable result when sixth ranked Gruner Stern Keltern (2-1) outscored at home 9th ranked TSV Amicitia (1-3) 75-54 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Gruner Stern Keltern. TSV Amicitia was better in third quarter 14-11. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Senegalese center Marie Rosche (191-87, college: Dayton) fired 14 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Julia Seemann (178-89) chipped in 10 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists. Four Gruner Stern Keltern players scored in double figures. Gruner Stern Keltern's coach Thorsten Kustos felt very confident using entire bench and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American swingman Kellindra Zackery (182, college: Newman) produced a double-double by scoring 38 points (!!!) and 11 rebounds and forward Alexandra Shaw (176) added 6 points respectively for lost side. Gruner Stern Keltern moved-up to fifth place in South. Loser TSV Amicitia keeps the ninth position with three games lost. Gruner Stern Keltern will face Bad Aibling (#7) at home in the next round. TSV Amicitia will play against the league's leader TV Saarlouis Royals.
