The game had a very big importance for third-ranked Ferro-ZNTU as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Ferro-ZNTU smashed bottom-ranked BC Kyiv in Zaporozhye 92-66. The game was mostly controlled by Ferro-ZNTU. BC Kyiv was better in fourth quarter 21-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded BC Kyiv 47-26 including a 35-20 advantage in defensive rebounds. Ferro-ZNTU players were unselfish on offense dishing 21 assists. It was a good game for American forward Cameron Moore (208-90, college: UAB) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 26 points and 17 rebounds. The other American import guard Randy Culpepper (182-89, college: UTEP) contributed with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 assists for the winners. American guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford) replied with 16 points and 4 assists and British point guard Justin Robinson (187-87, college: Rider, agency: Two Points) added 10 points and 7 assists in the effort for BC Kyiv. Four BC Kyiv players scored in double figures. BC Kyiv's coach Renato Pasquali gave up on the game allowing to play eleven players seeing no chance for a win. As mentioned above they took over a top position. BC Kyiv at the other side still closes the standings with seven games lost. BC Kyiv will have a break next week, which should allow them to rest in order to get back on the winning path. Ferro-ZNTU will try to continue on its current victory against eighth ranked BC Donetsk on the road.
