Very expected game in Moletai where 9th ranked Ezerunas-Karys (3-4) was rolled over by second ranked Statyba (6-1) 84-57 on Friday. The game without a history. Statyba led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Forward Darius Tarvydas (200-91) fired 11 points and 8 rebounds for the winners. Forward Lukas Kazlauskas (188-92) chipped in 12 points. Guard Giedrius Kulbis (187-81) produced 10 points and center Marius Janisius (203-77) added 7 points and 6 rebounds (made all of his eight free throws) respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. The victory was the fifth consecutive win for Statyba. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Meresta. Loser Ezerunas-Karys dropped to the eleventh place with four games lost. Statyba will face league's leader Meresta in Pakruojis in the next round and it will be for sure the game of the week. Ezerunas-Karys will play on the road against Zalgiris-Sabonio (#7) in Kaunas.
