The game had a very big importance for second-ranked Meresta as it allowed them to take a leadership position. Meresta defeated 5th ranked Zanavykas in Pakruojis 78-72. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Zanavykas. Zanavykas trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 25-18 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 72-78 at the end of the game. Meresta looked well-organized offensively handing out 22 assists. Guard Tomas Gaidamavicius (191-82) fired 19 points, 6 rebounds and 8 assists for the winners. Guard Ignas Vaitkus (189-93) chipped in 17 points, 6 rebounds and 4 assists. Four Meresta players scored in double figures.
