Regular Season Round 5: Farul Const. - Craiova 68-85

Not a big story in a game when bottom-ranked Farul Const. (0-6) lost to seventh ranked Craiova (4-1) in Constanca 68-85 on Saturday. The game was mostly controlled by Craiova. Farul Const. was better in third quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Farul Const. 36-21 including a 28-16 advantage in defensive rebounds. Serbian power forward Ivan Miskovic (203-84, college: Alaska-Fairb.) orchestrated the victory with a double-double by scoring 22 points and 10 rebounds. Serbian guard Rade Dzambic (188-80, college: NYIT, agency: TSS Management) contributed with 11 points and 8 assists for the winners. Four Craiova players scored in double figures. American guard Cardell McFarland (182-87, college: Ky Wesleyan) answered with 15 points and Robin Wallace added 14 points in the effort for Farul Const.Farul Const.'s coach Costel Cernat rotated eleven players seeing no chance for a win. Craiova moved-up to second place, which they share with 3 other teams. Newly promoted Farul Const. still closes the standings with six games lost. Craiova will face CSU Sibiu (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. Farul Const. will play against Targu Mures and hopes to get finally their first victory.
