We should mention about the upset which took place in Nis, where 4th placed Srbobran Reahem (3-2) lost to ninth ranked Student Radnicki (2-3) in a road game 64-73 on Saturday. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Srbobran Reahem. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Srbobran Reahem won third quarter 21-13. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Student Radnicki made 21-of-26 free shots (80.8 percent) during the game. Student Radnicki outrebounded Srbobran Reahem 39-24 including a 27-15 advantage in defensive rebounds. The best player for the winners was center Marija Ilic (190-85, agency: Global Sports Plaza) who had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 13 rebounds. Guard Emilija Stojanovic (169-92) chipped in 12 points and 7 rebounds. Four Student Radnicki players scored in double figures. Swingman Milena Radosevic (173-87) produced 18 points and 7 assists and power forward Jelica Domazet (188-88) added 16 points and 8 rebounds (was perfect 8-for-8 from the free throw line) respectively for the guests. Student Radnicki moved-up to seventh place, which they share with Vrbas Medela. Newly promoted Srbobran Reahem dropped to the third position with two games lost. Student Radnicki will face Stara Pazova (#10) on the road in the next round. Srbobran Reahem will play against Sabac (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
