No shocking result in a game when leader SG Schwelmer Baskets (5-0) beat 5th ranked Spot Up Medien Baskets (2-3) in Braunschweig 80-71 on Sunday. Spot Up Medien Baskets trailed by 12 points after 3 quarters before a 19-16 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 71-80 at the end of the game. Lars Wendt (190-92) orchestrated the victory by scoring 27 points and 8 rebounds. Center Andreas Kronhardt (204-89) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners.
