Regular Season Round 4: Usak - Istanbulspor 84-73
Date: October 30, 2012
Not a big story in a game when 13th ranked Istanbulspor (1-3) lost on the road to top-ranked Usak (4-0) 84-73 on Tuesday. The game was mostly controlled by Usak. Istanbulspor was better in third quarter 22-18. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Istanbulspor was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a very good performance for American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) who helped to win the game recording 28 points and 7 rebounds. The other American import forward Eric Buckner (208-90, college: Georgia St., agency: David Lee services) contributed with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners. Ibrahim Demircioglu (-89) replied with 18 points and American guard Charles Hinkle (195-88, college: American) added 16 points in the effort for Istanbulspor. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. Usak have a solid four-game winning streak. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Selcuk Univ. Loser Istanbulspor keeps the thirteenth place with three games lost. Usak will face Pi Koleji (#12) in Ankara in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Istanbulspor will play on the road against Maliye Milli in Ankara.
