Regular Season Round 4: Baskent Genclik - Final Genclik 74-82

Final Genclik's fans can celebrate the first win of their team after three consecutive loses. The victory is especially important as it came on the road game in Ankara, where they defeated Baskent Genclik (0-4) 82-74 on Tuesday. Baskent Genclik was tied after three quarters but could not keep up in the last quarter eventually losing the game. They outrebounded Baskent Genclik 41-26 including 26 on the defensive glass. The winners were led by American forward Marshall Moses (198-89, college: Oklahoma St.) who had that evening a double-double by scoring 27 points and 10 rebounds and guard Mustafa Gucyetmez (188-80) supported him with 17 points and 4 assists. Even 19 points by American guard Anthony Jones (191-84, college: Indiana Tech) did not help to save the game for Baskent Genclik. Guard Admir Aziz Kan (185-83) added 8 points and 5 assists for lost side. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Final Genclik (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Yesilgiresun and Istanbulspor. It was Baskent Genclik's fourth loss in a row. They still closes the standings with four games lost. They share the position with Izmir BSB. Final Genclik will meet at home higher ranked Bandirma Kir. (#8) in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Baskent Genclik will play against Darussafaka (#5) in Istanbul and hopes to get finally their first victory.
