The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Balikesir (3-1) on the court of sixteenth ranked Yesilgiresun on Wednesday night. Visitors were rolled over by Yesilgiresun 71-50. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Balikesir. The game was mostly controlled by Yesilgiresun. Balikesir managed to win second period 17-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of American guard Alex Gordon (184-85, college: Vanderbilt) who helped to win the game recording 13 points and 5 assists. Forward Oguz Erdogan (188-88) contributed with 16 points for the winners. Forward Orcun Okkali (201-87) replied with 10 points and 9 rebounds and center Cem Coskun (209-87) added 10 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Balikesir. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Yesilgiresun (1-3) left bottom position moving up to thirteenth place, which they share with Istanbulspor and Final Genclik. Balikesir at the other side, also newcomer in the league, keeps the third position with one game lost. They share it with Darussafaka and Vestel. Yesilgiresun is looking forward to face league's leader Selcuk Universitesi in Konya in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Balikesir will play at home against Akhisar Bld and is hoping to win this game.
