Regular Season Round 16: BC Kyiv - Azovmash 88-95

No shocking result in a game when fourth ranked Azovmash (8-3) beat on the road bottom-ranked BC Kyiv (1-9) 95-88. It looked good early as BC Kyiv took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Azovmash had a 30-21 second period charge getting the lead and BC Kyiv was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 88-95. Azovmash made 18-of-23 charity shots (78.3 percent) during the game. They brought some defensive toughness making 8 blocks. Worth to mention a great performance of Serbian power forward Tadija Dragicevic (206-86, agency: Beo Basket) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 17 points, 10 rebounds and 5 assists and Serbian center Miroslav Raduljica (213-88) who added 17 points, 9 rebounds and 4 blocks during the contest. At the losing side American guard Anthony Goods (191-87, college: Stanford) responded with 32 points and 4 assists (made all of his seven free throws) and the former international Artem Shvets (200-85) scored 13 points and 6 rebounds. Five Azovmash and four BC Kyiv players scored in double figures. Both coaches used bench players and allowed the starting five to rest. Azovmash moved-up to second place. BC Kyiv at the other side stay at the bottom position with nine games lost. Azovmash will play against Budivelnyk (#4) in Kyiv in the next round. BC Kyiv will play at home against BC Donetsk (#6) to get more than just one victory in their record.
