The game in Kyiv supposed to be also worth to mention about. 5th ranked BC Donetsk (6-4) played at the court of sixth ranked Budivelnyk (7-3). Budivelnyk smashed BC Donetsk 81-60. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of BC Donetsk. The game was mostly controlled by Budivelnyk. BC Donetsk was better in third quarter 20-16. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Worth to mention a great performance of the former international Artur Drozdov (200-80) who helped to win the game recording 12 points and 7 rebounds and American guard Malcolm Delaney (191-89, college: Virginia Tech) who added 14 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Four Budivelnyk players scored in double figures. At the losing side Bulgarian forward Kaloyan Ivanov (205-86, agency: Beo Basket) responded with 18 points and 6 rebounds and Lithuanian power forward Darius Songaila (204-78, college: Wake Forest, agency: Priority Sports) scored 12 points. Budivelnyk moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Halychyna. Defending champion BC Donetsk dropped to the sixth position with four games lost. Budivelnyk will play against league's second-placed Azovmash in Mariupol in the next round and it may be the game of the week. BC Donetsk will play on the road against BC Kyiv (#14) and hopes to get back on the winning track.
