Regular Season Round 5: Pi Koleji - Usak 77-71

The most surprising game was the first loss of undefeated Usak (4-1) in Ankara on Friday night. Visitors were defeated by twelfth ranked Pi Koleji (3-2) 77-71. It ended at the same time the four-game winning streak of Usak. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Usak won third quarter 19-14. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Pi Koleji made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. 24 personal fouls committed by Usak helped opponents get some easy free throw opportunities. Croatian power forward Nenad Delic (210-84) stepped up with a double-double by scoring 18 points and 12 rebounds for the winners and guard Berkay Sahillioglu (183-88) chipped in 15 points and 4 assists. American forward Justin Carter (193-87, college: Creighton, agency: Pro Partner Sports Management) responded with 25 points and 9 rebounds and forward Erhan Yetim (204-87) scored 13 points and 9 rebounds. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Pi Koleji moved-up to fourth place, which they share with 7 other teams. Usak at the other side keeps the second position with one game lost. They share it with Darussafaka. Pi Koleji is looking forward to face Istanbulspor (#15) on the road in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Usak will play against Balikesir (#5) and is hoping to win this game.
