Regular Season Round 7: NY Phantoms - MBC 70-76

Bottom-ranked Mitteldeutscher BC managed to get a second victory, breaking the series of three consecutive loses. This time newly promoted Mitteldeutscher BC won against fifteenth-ranked New Yorker Phantoms in Braunschweig 76-70. It was a great evening for American forward Devin Uskoski (201-85, college: Rocky Mountain) who led his team to a victory scoring 14 points and 9 rebounds. His fellow American import guard Chad Timberlake (194-84, college: Fair Dickinson) helped adding 14 points. At the losing side Cameroonian forward Harding NaNa (203-81, college: Delaware) responded with 14 points and 6 rebounds and American guard Casey Mitchell (193-88, college: W.Virginia) scored 18 points. Both coaches used bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mitteldeutscher BC (2-5) moved-up to fifteenth place, which they share with NY Phantoms and Fraport SKY. Mitteldeutscher BC will play against higher ranked ALBA Berlin (#8) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. New Yorker Phantoms will play against Deutsche Bank Skyliners (#16) in Frankfurt and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
