Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both sixth ranked Dorsten and 9th ranked Oldenburg had identical 2-3 record. But Oldenburg was not able to use a home court advantage and lost to the opponent from Dorsten 81-77 on Saturday night. Oldenburg trailed by 13 points after 3 quarters before a 22-13 run in the last quarter cut the deficit to 77-81 at the end of the game. American center Blake Poole (195-88, college: St.Martin's) had a double-double by scoring 16 points and 15 rebounds to lead the charge for the winners and the other American import guard Christopher Jones (183-88, college: Prairie View A&M) chipped in 16 points and 7 assists during the contest. Dorsten (3-3) moved-up to fifth place in Group North, which they share with Recklinghausen. Newly promoted Oldenburg dropped to the seventh position with four games lost. Dorsten will face higher ranked BSW Sixers (#4) in Sandersdorf in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Oldenburg will play on the road against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
