Regular Season Round 3: Tim-Scuf - Interkhim 67-73

There was a minor upset in Kyiv where 4th placed Tim-Scuf (1-2) was defeated by sixth ranked Interkhim (1-2) 73-67. Tim-Scuf was ahead by 2 points at the halftime before a 18-8 third quarter run of Interkhim. They made 29-of-36 charity shots (80.6 percent) during the game. Tim-Scuf was plagued by 29 personal fouls down the stretch. It was a good game for forward Zhanna Likhodid (177-80) who led her team to a victory with 13 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Natalia Kolotovska (174-90) contributed with 12 points and 5 assists for the winners. Four Interkhim players scored in double figures. Center Miriam Uro-Nilie (190-94) answered with a double-double by scoring 13 points and 12 rebounds and international guard Inna Kochubei (174-82) added 14 points in the effort for Tim-Scuf. Tim-Scuf's coach Inna Kochubei rotated twelve players in this game, but that didn't help. Interkhim left bottom position moving up to third place, which they share with Tim-Scuf and Elizabeth-Basket. Interkhim will play against Elizabeth-Basket (#4) in the next round. Tim-Scuf's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will travel locally in Kyiv to the arena Dynamo.
