Very predictable result when fourth ranked BBC Bayreuth (5-2) won against at home bottom-ranked LTi 46ers (1-6) 95-86 on Sunday. The hosts trailed by 6 points after first quarter, but they rallied back to get the 8-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 95-86. BBC Bayreuth outrebounded LTi 46ers 29-16 including 19 on the defensive glass. They shot the lights out from three sinking 13 long-distance shots on high 65.0 percentage. It was a very good performance for Italian-American forward Joe Trapani (203-88, college: Boston Coll.) who helped to win the game recording 17 points and 7 rebounds. American-Jamaican point guard Bryan Bailey (185-80, college: Bucknell) contributed with 18 points and 6 assists for the winners. Four BBC Bayreuth players scored in double figures. American guard Jimmy Baxter (198-80, college: S.Florida, agency: Three Eye Sports) answered with 26 points and naturalized Afghani point guard Achmadschah Zazai (175-86) added 19 points and 6 assists (on 6-of-7 shooting from the field) in the effort for LTi 46ers. Both coaches allowed to play bench players saving starting five for next games. BBC Bayreuth moved-up to third place, which they share with EWE Baskets. LTi 46ers lost their sixth game in a row. They stay at the bottom position with six games lost. BBC Bayreuth will face EWE Baskets (#4) in Oldenburg in the next round. LTi 46ers will play at home against Artland Dragons (#6) in Quakenbrueck.
