Regular Season Round 7: Phoenix Hagen - Walter Tigers 76-66

There was a minor upset when 12th ranked Walter Tigers (2-4) lost on the road to fourteenth ranked Phoenix Hagen (3-4) 76-66 on Sunday. The game was mostly controlled by Phoenix Hagen. Walter Tigers was better in fourth quarter 19-17. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. They outrebounded Walter Tigers 43-25 including a 16-4 advantage in offensive rebounds. Americans were the main players on the court. It was a very good performance for forward Larry Gordon (196-87, college: Cal Poly Pomona) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 9 rebounds. Guard Davin White (186-81, college: CS Northridge) contributed with 16 points and 5 assists for the winners. Guard Reggie Redding (196-88, college: Villanova) answered with 15 points and 7 rebounds and point guard Joshua Young (185-88, college: Drake, agency: Pro One Sports) added 15 points in the effort for Walter Tigers. Five Walter Tigers players scored in double figures. Phoenix Hagen moved-up to tenth place, which they share with 3 other teams. Loser Walter Tigers dropped to the fourteenth position with four games lost. Phoenix Hagen will face Eisbaeren Bremerhaven (#13) on the road in the next round. Walter Tigers will play against s Oliver Baskets in Wuerzburg.
