Regular Season Round 8: Ehingen - NBC 89-66

Very important is a road loss of third ranked NBC (5-3) against eleventh ranked Ehingen/Urspringschule (4-4) on Sunday night. Visiting NBC was crushed by Ehingen/Urspringschule in Allmendingen 89-66. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of NBC. The game was mostly controlled by Ehingen/Urspringschule. NBC was better in third quarter 13-9. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. American forward Andre Calvin (196-85, college: Drake) orchestrated the victory by scoring 13 points, 9 rebounds and 4 assists. Center Tim Unterluggauer (208-93) contributed with 16 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Four Ehingen/Urspringschule players scored in double figures. American guard Will Chavis (181-81, college: Texas Tech) replied with 15 points and swingman Cornelius Adler (195-89) added 10 points in the effort for NBC. NBC's coach Martin Ides gave up on the game allowing to play ten players seeing no chance for a win. Ehingen/Urspringschule moved-up to seventh place, which they share with 3 other teams. NBC at the other side dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. Ehingen/Urspringschule will play against BV Chemnitz 99 (#9) on the road in the next round. NBC will play against Duesseldorf Baskets (#3) and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
