Regular Season Round 12: Aalborg - Aarhus BC 64-54

Aalborg can celebrate finally their first win this season after nine consecutive loses. They used home court advantage to defeat Aarhus BC (4-6) 64-54. Aarhus BC was ahead by 2 points after three quarters before a 23-11 charge of Aalborg, which allowed them to win the game. It was a good game for American power forward Ryan Willen (204-89, college: Lafayette) who led his team to a victory with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 11 rebounds. Power forward Soren Sorensen (196-88) contributed with a double-double by scoring 17 points and 11 rebounds for the winners. Aalborg's coach Mads Olesen allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Bulgarian forward Hristo Petkov (202-85, college: Campbellsville) replied with 19 points and 9 rebounds (went 9 for 9 at the free throw line !!!) and American swingman Randy Dezouvre (195-87, college: Iona) added 7 points and 6 rebounds in the effort for Aarhus BC. It was the only win of host team this round and in all other games visitors recorded victories. Aalborg (1-9) left bottom position moving up to ninth place, which they share with Vaerlose. Aarhus BC at the other side keeps the sixth position with six games lost. Aalborg will play against league's leader Svendborg on the road in the next round and they do not belong to the favorites in that game. Aarhus BC's supporters look forward to an exciting derby game next round, where their team will face at home their local rival from Aarhus Bakken.
