Round 7 in Division A means a new league leader. The biggest surprise took place in Oradea where host Oradea (6-1) beat league's leader Gaz Metan (6-2) 73-62 on Friday evening. It ended at the same time the two-game winning streak of Gaz Metan. It was a key game for the top position in the league. The hosts trailed by 2 points after first quarter, but they stormed back to get the 7-point lead at the halftime and eventually won the game 73-62. Oradea made 16-of-21 free shots (76.2 percent) during the game. Serbian guard Nemanja Maric (196-83) fired 17 points for the winners. Australian swingman Daniel Dillon (194-86, college: Arizona) chipped in 11 points and 8 rebounds (made all of his seven free throws). Four Oradea players scored in double figures.
