Regular Season Round 8: LTi 46ers - Art.Dragons 82-86

Not a big story in a game in Giessen where 18th ranked LTi 46ers (1-7) were defeated by sixth ranked Artland Dragons (5-3) 86-82 on Saturday. The guests started the game with a very strong first quarter 35-22. But LTi 46ers won second period 15-10. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Artland Dragons made 18-of-22 free shots (81.8 percent) during the game. Artland Dragons outrebounded LTi 46ers 40-21 including a 29-18 advantage in defensive rebounds. It was a great shooting night for Artland Dragons especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 55.6 percentage. Americans were the main players on the court. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Bryce Taylor (196-86) who helped to win the game recording 21 points and 5 rebounds and forward Dennis Horner (206-88, college: N.Carolina St.) who added 11 points and 9 rebounds during the contest. LaQuan Prowell (203-84, college: Auburn, agency: Z.A.G. - Law Offices) responded with 21 points, 9 rebounds and 5 assists and guard Jimmy Baxter (198-80, college: S.Florida, agency: Three Eye Sports) scored 17 points. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. Artland Dragons moved-up to fourth place, which they share with Bayreuth and B.Muenchen. LTi 46ers lost seventh consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with seven games lost. Artland Dragons will face EnBW Ludwigsburg (#12) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. LTi 46ers will play against TBB Trier (#8).
