Regular Season Round 10: Dzukija - Meresta 88-71

An interesting game was played in Alytus where host Dzukija (#7) won against one of their biggest challengers Meresta with 17-point difference 88-71 on Saturday evening. Dzukija outrebounded Meresta 39-23 including 26 on the defensive glass. American guard Bryan Harrison (188-84, college: Georgia Coll., agency: Global Sports Plaza) scored 23 points, 9 rebounds, 9 assists and 4 steals to lead the charge for the winners and Polish center Cezary Trybanski (218-79) chipped in 14 points and 15 rebounds during the contest. Four Dzukija players scored in double figures. Dzukija's coach Mindaugas Jarusevicius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the losing side guard Ignas Vaitkus (189-93) responded with 21 points and guard Liudas Radavicius (188-88) scored 17 points. Dzukija (6-3) moved-up to fifth place. Loser Meresta keeps the fourth position with four games lost. Dzukija will meet league's leader Mazeikiai on the road in the next round and it may be quite challenging game. Meresta will play against Silute and hope to secure a win.
