Undefeated leader SC Rist Wedel delivered the seventh consecutive victory on Saturday night. This time they crushed 8th ranked Spot Up Medien Baskets (2-5) 84-62 in Braunschweig. The game was mostly controlled by SC Rist Wedel. Spot Up Medien Baskets was better in second period 16-10. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. SC Rist Wedel dominated down low during the game scoring 40 of its points in the paint compared to Spot Up Medien Baskets' 20. It was a great shooting night for SC Rist Wedel especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 68.8 percentage. American Davey Hopkins (195-88, college: Biola, CA) fired 17 points, 8 rebounds and 9 assists for the winners. Marvin Boadu (193-89) chipped in 23 points and 6 rebounds. Four SC Rist Wedel players scored in double figures. Cuban Howard Sant-Roos (200-91) produced 14 points and 7 rebounds and Joern Wessels (205-91) added 15 points respectively for lost side. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. SC Rist Wedel (7-0) have an impressive series of seven victories in a row. They maintain first place in Group North with a perfect record of 7 victories in a row. Spot Up Medien Baskets lost fifth consecutive game. They dropped to the ninth position with five games lost.
