Very important is a home loss of second ranked Herten Lions (5-2) against twelfth ranked RSV Eintracht (1-6) on Saturday night. Host Herten Lions were defeated by RSV Eintracht in Herten 96-84. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Herten Lions. Herten Lions were tied at the half but could not keep up in last two quarters eventually losing the game. Worth to mention a great performance of forward Tobias Grauel (195-86) who helped to win the game recording 18 points and 7 assists (made all of his seven free throws). American power forward Trevon Malone (202-88, college: Mississippi Coll.) contributed with 19 points and 6 rebounds for the winners. RSV Eintracht's coach Kai Buchmann used entire bench which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. American forward Will Taylor (200-89, college: Cal Poly - SLO) answered with a double-double by scoring 20 points and 10 rebounds and power forward Christoph Hackenesch (204-86) added 13 points and 7 rebounds in the effort for Herten Lions. Four Herten Lions players scored in double figures. RSV Eintracht maintains twelfth place in Group North with 1-6 record. Herten Lions at the other side dropped to the third position with two games lost. RSV Eintracht will play against higher ranked Dorsten (#4) at home in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Herten Lions will play against Recklinghausen and hope to get back on the winning track.
