Regular Season Round 7: Dorsten - BSW Sixers 101-79

We could consider it a predictable result in the game between close teams when fifth ranked Dorsten (4-3) outscored at home 4th placed BSW Sixers (4-3) 101-79 on Saturday. The game without a history. Dorsten led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 26 assists. BSW Sixers were plagued by 26 personal fouls down the stretch. American center Blake Poole (195-88, college: St.Martin's) fired a double-double by scoring 14 points, 10 rebounds and 6 assists for the winners. His fellow American import guard Christopher Jones (183-88, college: Prairie View A&M) chipped in a double-double by scoring 13 points, 11 assists and 4 steals. Dorsten's coach Torsten Schierenbeck felt very confident that he used 10 players and allowed the starting five to get some rest. American guard Jeremie Simmons (188, college: Ohio St., agency: SDJ Sports) produced 19 points and 5 assists and guard Sascha Ahnsehl (186-86) added 12 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists respectively for lost side. Five Dorsten and four BSW Sixers players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Dorsten. They moved-up to fourth place in Group North, which they share with defeated BSW Sixers. Dorsten will face RSV Eintracht (#12) in Stahnsdorf in the next round and are hoping to win another game. BSW Sixers will play at home against Herzoege Wolfenbuettel (#7).
