An interesting game for Duesseldorf Baskets (7-2) which played road game in Nurnberg against 4th placed NBC (5-4). Third ranked Duesseldorf Baskets managed to get a 11-point victory 72-61. The game was mostly controlled by Duesseldorf Baskets. NBC was better in second period 28-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. Duesseldorf Baskets dominated down low during the game scoring 56 of its points in the paint compared to NBC's 30. American-Liberian forward Patrick Flomo (203-80, college: Ohio) stepped up and scored 20 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists (on 10-of-13 shooting from the field) for the winners and guard Nico Adamczak (189-90) chipped in 17 points and 10 rebounds. The best for the losing side was swingman Cornelius Adler (195-89) with 17 points and American guard Tyrone Brazelton (185-86, college: W.Kentucky) scored 4 points, 7 rebounds and 6 assists. Duesseldorf Baskets keep a position of league leader, which they share with Goettingen. NBC at the other side dropped to the sixth place with four games lost. They share the position with Chemnitz and Cuxhaven. Duesseldorf Baskets will play against BV Chemnitz 99 (#8) at home in the next round and are hoping to win another game. NBC will play against MLP Academics Heidelberg and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
