Regular Season Round 6: Aistes-LSU - Kibirkstis-Tiche 50-103

LMKL top team - Kibirkstis-Tiche (6-0) had no problems winning another game on Saturday. This time they crushed fifth ranked Aistes-LSU (2-4) in Kaunas 103-50. The game without a history. Kibirkstis-Tiche led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. They dominated on the defensive end, holding Aistes-LSU to just 6 points in fourth quarter. Kibirkstis-Tiche dominated down low during the game scoring 54 of its points in the paint compared to Aistes-LSU's 28 and made 19-of-23 free shots (82.6 percent) during the game. Kibirkstis-Tiche forced 24 Aistes-LSU turnovers and outrebounded them 39-25 including 28 on the defensive glass. It was a great shooting night for Kibirkstis-Tiche especially from behind the arc, where they had solid 62.5 percentage. They looked well-organized offensively handing out 24 assists comparing to just 9 passes made by Aistes-LSU's players. The former international center Kristina Vengryte (186-81) scored 19 points (on 8-of-10 shooting from the field) to lead the charge for the winners and the former international forward Vita Kuktiene (186-80) chipped in 15 points and 5 rebounds during the contest. Five Kibirkstis-Tiche players scored in double figures. The best for the losing side was power forward Laura Svaryte (190-92) with 14 points and 6 rebounds and forward Neringa Skadaite (184-92) scored 16 points. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Kibirkstis-Tiche have an impressive six-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 6-0 record. Aistes-LSU lost fourth consecutive game. They keep the fifth place with four games lost. They share the position with Ruta Siauliai.
