Regular Season Round 9: Avantazh-Pol. - Pulsar 92-75

The game between leader Avantazh-Politekhnik (4-0) and 7th ranked BC-93 Pulsar (2-6) in Kharkov ended with biggest points difference. Avantazh-Politekhnik beat guests from Rovno 92-75. The game was mostly controlled by Avantazh-Politekhnik. BC-93 Pulsar was better in fourth quarter 24-19. But it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was forward Anton Rochnyak (206-91) who had a double-double by scoring 22 points, 16 rebounds and 4 assists. Forward Anton Mikhaylov (192-91) chipped in 22 points and 8 rebounds. Avantazh-Politekhnik's coach Valentin Kulibaba allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. At the other side the best for losing team was forward Yuri Kuzminets (204-84) who recorded 17 points and 9 rebounds (perfect from the field making all eight shots !!!) and guard Ilya Shemosyuk (188-85) added 15 points and 5 rebounds respectively. Both teams had four players each who scored in double figures. The victory was the fourth consecutive win for Avantazh-Politekhnik. They maintain third place with 4-0 record having 4 victories less than leader Musson. BC-93 Pulsar at the other side keeps the seventh position with six games lost. Avantazh-Politekhnik's next round opponent will be Koksokh-Stal (#8) in Alchevsk which should be theoretically an easy game. BC-93 Pulsar will play against the league's second-placed Khartsyzsk.
