Very important is a road loss of third ranked Craiova (5-2) against fourth ranked Targu Mures (6-1) on Monday night. Visiting Craiova was defeated by Targu Mures in Mures 94-83. It ended at the same time the three-game winning streak of Craiova. It was a key game for the top position in the league. It looked good early as Craiova took an 6-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Targu Mures had a 27-20 second period charge getting the lead and Craiova was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 83-94. Worth to mention a great performance of Montenegrin guard Branko Cuic (197-78) who helped to win the game recording 16 points, 8 rebounds, 7 assists and 4 steals. Serbian guard Andrija Ciric (199-80, agency: BeoExcell) contributed with 18 points and 7 rebounds for the winners. Serbian guard Rade Dzambic (188-80, college: NYIT, agency: TSS Management) answered with 16 points, 8 rebounds and 8 assists and American guard LeVar Seals (195-82, college: De Paul) added 26 points and 4 steals in the effort for Craiova. Five Targu Mures and four Craiova players scored in double figures. Targu Mures have an impressive series of six victories in a row. They keep a position of league leader, which they share with Oradea. Craiova at the other side dropped to the fourth place with two games lost. They share the position with 3 other teams. Targu Mures will play against CSM Bucuresti (#7) at home in the next round which should be theoretically an easy game. Craiova will play against Miercurea Ciuc and hopes to get back on the winning track.
