Regular Season Round 13: Aarhus BC - Bakken 48-80
Date: November 13, 2012
Another exciting game was a derby match between two teams from Aarhus: Bakken (#2) and Aarhus BC (#6). Aarhus BC was crushed at home by 32 points 48-80 and even the advantage of their own court did not help. It looked good early as Aarhus BC took an 3-point lead at the end of first quarter. But then Bakken had a 22-10 second period charge getting the lead and Aarhus BC was not able to take back game control losing it eventually 48-80. The former international power forward Nicolai Iversen (205-80, college: San Jose City JC) stepped up and scored 23 points and 6 rebounds for the winners and the former international forward Christian Lindberg (195-83) chipped in 18 points. Bakken's coach Philip Dejworek felt very confident that he used 10 players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. At the losing side Bulgarian forward Hristo Petkov (202-85, college: Campbellsville) responded with a double-double by scoring 16 points and 12 rebounds and American swingman Randy Dezouvre (195-87, college: Iona) scored 10 points and 6 rebounds. Defending champion maintains second place with 10-1 record behind leader Svendborg. Aarhus BC at the other side keeps the sixth position with seven games lost. Both teams do not play next round, which will be an opportunity for some rest.
