Regular Season Round 11: Ezerunas-Karys - Gargzdai 56-47

Everything went according to plan when thirteenth ranked Ezerunas-Karys (5-7) defeated bottom-ranked Gargzdai-Bremena (1-10) in Moletai 56-47. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Gargzdai-Bremena won third quarter 14-12. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was forward Remigijus Sugintas (200-87) who scored 10 points and 8 rebounds. Guard Marius Kugauda (191-76) chipped in 9 points and 4 assists. Ezerunas-Karys' coach Mindaugas Kildisius allowed to play the deep bench players saving starting five for next games. Forward Donatas Tarolis (201-94) produced 12 points and 6 rebounds and forward Linas Jonuska (198-91) added 11 points and 5 rebounds respectively for the guests. Ezerunas-Karys maintains thirteenth place with 5-7 record. Gargzdai-Bremena lost fourth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom position with ten games lost. Ezerunas-Karys' next round opponent will be higher ranked Olimpas (#9) and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. Gargzdai-Bremena will play against Meresta (#4) and will have a slim chance for a victory.
