Everything could happen at the game between two tied teams. Both eleventh ranked Mykolaiv and 10th ranked DniproAzot had identical 4-8 record. This time Mykolaiv used a home court advantage and rolled over the opponent from Dniprodzerzhynsk 85-66. The game without a history. Mykolaiv led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. Mykolaiv forced 23 DniproAzot turnovers. It was a good game for Nigerian-Russian center Aleksey Adediran (204-82, college: Binghamton) who led his team to a victory with 18 points and 7 rebounds. American swingman Dwayne Mitchell (196-82, college: La-Lafayette, agency: Interperformances) contributed with 15 points for the winners. American forward Alan Wiggins (206-85, college: USF) answered with a double-double by scoring 11 points and 12 rebounds and the other American import forward Sam Muldrow (205-88, college: S.Carolina) added 15 points, 5 rebounds and 7 blocks in the effort for DniproAzot. Five Mykolaiv and four DniproAzot players scored in double figures. Both coaches tested many bench players which allowed the starters a little rest for the next games. Mykolaiv (5-8) moved-up to ninth place, which they share with Cherkasy. DniproAzot at the other side dropped to the eleventh position with nine games lost. They share it with Dnipro. Mykolaiv will play against higher ranked Ferro-ZNTU (#3) in Zaporozhye in the next round and it will be quite challenging to get another victory. DniproAzot will play on the road against Azovmash (#5) in Mariupol and hopes to get back on the winning track.
