Division A top team - Oradea (7-1) had no problems winning another game on Friday. This time they crushed thirteenth ranked Timba Timosoara (2-6) in Timisoara 83-62. The game without a history. Oradea led from the first minutes and controlled entire game increasing their lead in each quarter. The winners were led by Serbian forward Milos Pesic (205-84) who scored that evening 17 points and 4 assists and Bosnian center Sasha Topchov (206-80) supported him with 15 points. Even 15 points by Serbian guard Bosko Stojakovic (196-84) did not help to save the game for Timba Timosoara. Canadian point guard Alex Johnson (178-88, college: N.Carolina St., agency: I.D.S. Law) added 10 points and 4 assists for the hosts. The winner was already known earlier in the game, so both coaches allowed to play the bench players saving starting five for next games. Oradea have a solid three-game winning streak. They maintain first position with 7-1 record. Newly promoted Timba Timosoara keeps the thirteenth place with six games lost. Oradea will meet at home Giurgiu (#12) in the next round which should be another easy win for them. Timba Timosoara will have a break next round.
