Regular Season Round 5: Tim-Scuf - Elizabeth-Basket 87-82

Very significant was Tim-Scuf's (#3, 4-2) victory against 3rd placed Elizabeth-Basket (2-3) 87-82. The hosts took control from the first minutes by winning first half. But Elizabeth-Basket won third quarter 26-23. However it was not enough to take a lead and get a victory that evening. The best player for the winners was forward Krystyna Matsko (182-91) who had a double-double by scoring 23 points and 10 rebounds. International guard Inna Kochubei (174-82) chipped in 18 points, 6 rebounds and 9 assists. The former international power forward Olena Zherzherunova (191-78, agency: LBM Management) produced a double-double by scoring 22 points, 12 rebounds, 4 assists and 6 blocks (was perfect 12-for-12 from the free throw line !!!) and American guard Ashley Graham (171-84, college: Santa Clara) added 16 points and 5 assists respectively for the guests. Four Tim-Scuf and five Elizabeth-Basket players scored in double figures. The victory was the third consecutive win for Tim-Scuf. Defending champion (4-2) moved-up to second place. Loser Elizabeth-Basket dropped to the fourth position with three games lost. They share it with Interkhim. Tim-Scuf will have a break next round, and it should allow them to practice more before next game. Elizabeth-Basket will play against Dynamo (#3) in Kyiv and it may be a tough game between close rivals.
