Not a big story in a game when 18th ranked Gargzdai-Bremena (1-11) was defeated at home by fourth ranked Meresta (9-4) 71-64 on Saturday. Meresta looked well-organized offensively handing out 21 assists. Worth to mention a great performance of guard Tomas Gaidamavicius (191-82) who helped to win the game recording a double-double by scoring 19 points, 6 rebounds and 10 assists and center Deividas Keburys (202-90) who added 16 points during the contest. The best for the losing side was forward Marius Grigaitis (196-91) with 16 points, 5 rebounds and 6 assists and forward Donatas Tarolis (201-94) scored 16 points and 8 rebounds. Four Gargzdai-Bremena players scored in double figures. Meresta maintains fourth position with 9-4 record. Gargzdai-Bremena lost fifth consecutive game. They stay at the bottom place with 11 games lost. Meresta will face Birstono (#17) in the next round which should be an easy win for them. Gargzdai-Bremena will play against the league's second-placed Mazeikiai.
